I thought that you might like to see a few images of some works which are no longer on the market, or have never been on the market (commissioned pieces, pieces I love too much to sell, and so forth). While no two works can be exactly alike, if you find something here you like, we can talk about the possibility of my making you a similar piece.

Raku Night

Raku Night was included in the 2009 Governor's Mansion Association Calendar and also in the 2008 Celebrating Arkansas Artists Exhibit in Senator Pryor's Rivermarket office. The piece is actually a triptych, and currently hangs as such in its new home in a private residence in Little Rock. However, when the deadline came to enter it into the competitions, I was refiring one piece, so only had these two parts for the image. I'm so glad it won anyway!

The Queen

The Queen is a large woman: 25 inches tall, 21 wide, about 17 deep. Made primarily from structural wire and hypertufa, she weighs around 70 pounds. She holds a natural river rock, and teeth adorn her neck. She could strike a commanding pose from the rear of flower beds or in entryways.

Stone County 6

Stone County 6 is a mixed media piece approximately 19 inches high, 19 deep and 13 wide. The sculpture is primarily of hypertufa, an extremely light concrete mixture which withstands extremes of temperature well. Over time, hypertufa develops a soft patina.

The First Madonna

Strong, simple, calm and receptive, this Primitive Woman is 20 inches tall and weighs about 55 pounds. She is constructed of structural metal, color, and hypertufa. Mother of pearl shells line line her hollow, into which rests a large natural crystal.

African Strength

In this piece, the upper body of an African Woman is blended with the solidness of a stronger cement mixture to create a free-standing sculpture. Even if left outdoors year round, it is a virtually indestructible piece of original art. African Strength measure about a foot high, and is 13 inches wide and 4 deep.

Moose Table

This fabulous table also represents the unique, signature-style mosaic work of Stone County Art. While Lee designs this furniture to withstand the elements in the out of doors, she has discovered that collectors often take these striking pieces of functional art into their homes to serve as centerpieces. Moose Table stands 19 inches tall with a 24 inch square top.

Celebrating Iris Table

The Celebrating Iris Table is a 17 inch concrete mosaic square atop a 17 inch high, custom forged, dark green metal stand. The top features hand made tessera by other Arkansas artists plus sea glass from Los Angeles, a silver spoon Lee gathered during her travels to Peru, sunflower and greenery tile she bought in Australia and broken cottage dinnerware from her first marriage 35 years ago.

Big Grape Bench

Grape leaf imprints from the family vineyard are combined with green stained glass and large clear marbles to create this functional work of art. It should last, whether used outdoor or as an entry piece, for generations to come. It is made from hand-cast concrete, is 40 inches long, 18 inches deep, and stands 24 inches tall.

She Restoreth My Soul

The clay form at the top of this sculpture was wood-fired in the groundhog kiln at the Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View, Arkansas, before being combined with the natural rock from the Ozark Mountains and the hand-mixed cement base. Because the top form is clay, protect the work from freeze-thaw cycles. This sculpture with the loving embrace is 12 inches high, 13 wide and 11 deep, and would make an excellent alter piece.

Moon Bluff

Moon Bluff is 11 inches high, 9 wide and 1 1/2 thick. It has a profoundly primitive sense to it as concrete, rocks, shells and a bit of glitter combine into an ancient landscape.

Military Intelligence

Military Intelligence is 13 inches across. This Stone ScapeŠ features a political button from the 60's which reads "Military Intelligence is a contradiction in terms". The top of the piece is surrounded by rusting barbed wire and it contains an actual snake skin found in Stone County.

Swirled Rock Bowl

Made from a cement mixture, this bowl measures 10 inches across and about 3 inches high. It features native Arkansas stones. The deep swirls represent the movment of water flowing over and around the rocks and the earth. It is designed for use indoors or out.
