A sculpture by local artist Lee Cowan of Fox has been accepted into the Fort Smith Art Center's 54th Annual Art Competition.

Her contemporary work entitled "Brown Butt on Rust" was one of 48 pieces chosen from 172 entries from artists across the United States. The exhibition at the Fort Smith Art Center, 423 North Sixth Street, free and open to the public, will run from June 6 (with an opening reception from 1:00 - 4:00 pm) through July 10.

The entry can be seen at Cowan's web site, www.StoneCountyArt.com , under the "new works" button. Her work can also be seen at the Arkansas Craft Guild in Mountain View, The Chroma Gallery in Little Rock, and The Old Carriage House in Jasper.
