Miles from pavement deep in the Arkansas Ozark Mountains, these works are created one by one. Many are so original that the artist, Lee Cowan, invented 4 terms (ArkanStones©, Stone Scapes©, Connecting Stones©, and Memory Stones©) to categorize them. Pictured above in the Welcome Garden to Stone Count Art, an original concrete mosaic piece from the studio is combined with a weathered commercial sculpture, native rocks, trees and flowers.
